Tell your doctor immediately if any of these serious Prozac® (Fluoxetine) side effects occur: loss of appetite, unusual weight loss, unusual or severe mental/mood changes, uncontrolled movements (tremor), decreased interest in sex, flu-like symptoms (e.g., chills, fever, muscle aches, weakness)

Tell your doctor immediately if any of these unlikely but serious side effects occur: vision changes, trouble swallowing, swelling or white spots on the mouth and/or tongue, changes in sexual ability, painful and/or prolonged erection

Cautions

Tell your doctor your complete medical history especially if you have high blood pressure, an over-active thyroid, glaucoma, diabetes or emotional problems. Consult with your doctor if you think you are pregnant or before breast-feeding. Alcohol can increase unwanted side effects of dizziness. Limit alcohol use. Prozac® (Fluoxetine) is not recommended for use in children

Recomendations :

-Certain medications taken with Prozac® (Fluoxetine) could result in serious, even fatal, drug interactions. Avoid taking MAO inhibitors (e.g., furazolidone, isocarboxazid, linezolid, moclobemide, phenelzine, procarbazine, selegiline, tranylcypromine) within 2 weeks, and avoid taking thioridazine within 5 weeks, before or after treatment with Prozac® (Fluoxetine).  Prozac® (Fluoxetine) is not recommended for use with: weight loss medicine (e.g., sibutramine, phentermine), thioridazine, terfenadine, astemizole.

Additional information :

-Take Prozac® (Fluoxetine) with food if it upsets your stomach. Store Prozac® (Fluoxetine) at room temperature, far from the heat  and light. Continue to take Prozac® (Fluoxetine) even if you feel better. Do not miss any doses. If you miss a dose of Prozac® (Fluoxetine), skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.

Do not take Prozac® (Fluoxetine) if you have had an allergic reaction to it or are allergic to any ingredient in this product. Up to 4 weeks may pass before Prozac® (Fluoxetine) reaches its complete effect.
